파이어폭스 110(Firefox 110) 보안 업데이트

모질라 재단에서 제공을 하는 브라우저인 파이어폭스에 대한 보안 업데이트가 진행이 되었습니다.
Firefox 릴리스는 Windows의 GPU 샌드박싱, 브라우저에서 향상된 사용자 데이터 가져오기, 성능 개선 등을 제공합니다.
모든 Firefox 개발 채널과 안드로이드 스마트폰 파이어폭스 동시에 업데이트가 진행이 됩니다. Android용 Firefox도 버전 110으로 업데이트 되며 확장 지원 릴리스인 Firefox ESR은 버전 102.8로 업데이트 Firefox Beta, Developer 및 Nightly 에디션은 각각 버전 111 및 112로 버전 업데이트 됩니다.
Firefox 110은 Windows 7 및 Windows 8.1을 계속 지원하지만 두 운영 체제 모두 Microsoft에서 더는 지원하지 않음

윈도우 Firefox는 이제 최신 버전의 브라우저에서 GPU 샌드박싱을 지원을 하면 GPU 샌드박싱은 그래픽 프로세서의 프로세스를 격리하여 맬웨어 공격(악성코드)을 무력화하거나 시스템에 미칠 수 있는 영향을 최소화합니다. 사용방법은 
about:support를 로드하고 GPU 프로세스 샌드박스 수준 값을 확인하여 활성화되어 있는지 확인할 수 있습니다. 0보다 큰 값은 샌드박스가 활성 상태임을 의미합니다.

파이어폭스 110.0

Windows 관련 기능을 사용하면 브라우저 사용자가 Firefox에 자신을 삽입하는 타사 모듈을 차단할 수 있습니다. 이 기능의 기본 아이디어는 브라우저 충돌과 같은 문제를 일으키는 타사 모듈을 차단하는 것입니다.
해당 기능을 사용하려면 파이어폭스 주소 표시 줄에 about:third-party를 로드 Firefox는 페이지에 모든 타사 모듈을 나열합니다. 모듈 차단 버튼을 클릭하면 앞으로 Firefox에서 모듈이 로드되지 않습니다. 모듈을 차단하려면 다시 시작하며 프로세스를 반복하여 나중에 모듈을 차단 해제할 수 있습니다. 
페이지에서 Firefox 또는 일부 구성 요소의 충돌을 일으킨 모듈을 강조 표시합니다.
기타 변경 사항 및 수정 사항
Firefox 사용자는 이 릴리스부터 Microsoft Edge,구글 크롬,Safari 옆에 있는 Opera, Opera GX 및 Vivaldi에서 데이터, 북마크, 기록 및 암호를 가져올 수 있음
macOS 및 Linux의 Firefox 사용자는 이제 Canvas2D GPU 가속을 사용할 수 있음

GPU 샌드박싱

Windows 10 및 11에서 인텔이 아닌 GPU를 사용한 하드웨어 디코딩 비디오 오버레이가 지원되어 비디오 재생 성능과 비디오 스케일링 품질이 향상
Ctrl+Backspace 및 Ctrl+Delete 키보드 단축키를 사용하여 날짜, 시간 및 날짜 시간, 로컬 입력 필드를 지울 수 있음(Mac 사용자는 Ctrl을 Cmd로 바꿔야 합니다.)

CVE-2023-25728: Content security policy leak in violation reports using iframes
Description:The Content-Security-Policy-Report-Only header could allow an attacker to leak a child iframe's unredacted URI when interaction with that iframe triggers a redirect.
CVE-2023-25730: Screen hijack via browser fullscreen mode
Description:A background script invoking requestFullscreen and then blocking the main thread could force the browser into fullscreen mode indefinitely, resulting in potential user confusion or spoofing attacks.
CVE-2023-25743: Fullscreen notification not shown in Firefox Focus
Description:A lack of in app notification for entering fullscreen mode could have lead to a malicious website spoofing browser chrome.
This bug only affects Firefox Focus. Other versions of Firefox are unaffected.
CVE-2023-0767: Arbitrary memory write via PKCS 12 in NSS
Description:An attacker could construct a PKCS 12 cert bundle in such a way that could allow for arbitrary memory writes via PKCS 12 Safe Bag attributes being mishandled.
CVE-2023-25735: Potential use-after-free from compartment mismatch in SpiderMonkey
Description:Cross-compartment wrappers wrapping a scripted proxy could have caused objects from other compartments to be stored in the main compartment resulting in a use-after-free after unwrapping the proxy.
CVE-2023-25737: Invalid downcast in SVGUtils::SetupStrokeGeometry
Description:An invalid downcast from nsTextNode to SVGElement could have lead to undefined behavior.
CVE-2023-25738: Printing on Windows could potentially crash Firefox with some device drivers
Description:Members of the DEVMODEW struct set by the printer device driver weren't being validated and could have resulted in invalid values which in turn would cause the browser to attempt out of bounds access to related variables.
This bug only affects Firefox on Windows. Other operating systems are unaffected.
CVE-2023-25739: Use-after-free in mozilla::dom::ScriptLoadContext::~ScriptLoadContext
Description:Module load requests that failed were not being checked as to whether or not they were cancelled causing a use-after-free in ScriptLoadContext.
CVE-2023-25729: Extensions could have opened external schemes without user knowledge
Description:Permission prompts for opening external schemes were only shown for ContentPrincipals resulting in extensions being able to open them without user interaction via ExpandedPrincipals. This could lead to further malicious actions such as downloading files or interacting with software already installed on the system.
CVE-2023-25732: Out of bounds memory write from EncodeInputStream
Description:When encoding data from an inputStream in xpcom the size of the input being encoded was not correctly calculated potentially leading to an out of bounds memory write.
CVE-2023-25734: Opening local .url files could cause unexpected network loads
Description:After downloading a Windows .url shortcut from the local filesystem, an attacker could supply a remote path that would lead to unexpected network requests from the operating system. This also had the potential to leak NTLM credentials to the resource.
This bug only affects Firefox on Windows. Other operating systems are unaffected.
CVE-2023-25740: Opening local .scf files could cause unexpected network loads
Description:After downloading a Windows .scf script from the local filesystem, an attacker could supply a remote path that would lead to unexpected network requests from the operating system. This also had the potential to leak NTLM credentials to the resource.
This bug only affects Firefox for Windows. Other operating systems are unaffected.
CVE-2023-25731: Prototype pollution when rendering URLPreview
Description:Due to URL previews in the network panel of developer tools improperly storing URLs, query parameters could potentially be used to overwrite global objects in privileged code.
CVE-2023-25733: Possible null pointer dereference in TaskbarPreviewCallback
Description:The return value from gfx::SourceSurfaceSkia::Map() wasn't being verified which could have potentially lead to a null pointer dereference.
CVE-2023-25736: Invalid downcast in GetTableSelectionMode
Description:An invalid downcast from nsHTMLDocument to nsIContent could have lead to undefined behavior.
CVE-2023-25741: Same-origin policy leak via image drag and drop
Description:When dragging and dropping an image cross-origin, the image's size could potentially be leaked. This behavior was shipped in 109 and caused web compatibility problems as well as this security concern, so the behavior was disabled until further review.
CVE-2023-25742: Web Crypto ImportKey crashes tab
Description:When importing a SPKI RSA public key as ECDSA P-256, the key would be handled incorrectly causing the tab to crash.
CVE-2023-25744: Memory safety bugs fixed in Firefox 110 and Firefox ESR 102.8
Description:Mozilla developers Kershaw Chang and the Mozilla Fuzzing Team reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 109 and Firefox ESR 102.7. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code.
CVE-2023-25745: Memory safety bugs fixed in Firefox 110
Description:Mozilla developers Timothy Nikkel, Gabriele Svelto, Jeff Muizelaar and the Mozilla Fuzzing Team reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 109. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code.
